PRORA - Risen from Ruins Photographic Impressions

PRORA
Risen From Ruins

Prora, located on the island of Ruegen, Germany was meant to be a beach resort for 20.000 people in the Third Reich. The complex spans for more than 2 miles along the coast of the Baltic Sea. It never served it's purpose as envisioned bei the organisation "Kraft durch Freude" (KdF, Strength through Joy) but nevertheless it still stands as a haunting memorial of dictatorship.
In recent years the complex is being redeveloped, appartements and hotels now use the parts which are still standing. The ghost of Prora is still around and more vital than ever.

These "photographic impressions" were made in 2016 and capture the transition of Prora.
